School Transport - City of York Council
The City of York Council have appointed York Pullman to provide home to school within the City using vehicles of 9 seats or more. This page will give pupils who are eligible for free transport all the information they need to travel, as well as providing information on purchasing seats on school buses for those who are not eligible.
Information on Eligibility
If you are not sure if you are eligible for free home to school transport, this is determined by City of York Council and the full details of the policy are contained on their web site. Please click on the following link to go to their web site.
A key part of this arrangement is that all the buses will be fitted with seat belts, including our double deck vehicles and these must be worn at all times during the journey to and from school.
All pupils must have a pass to travel, which must be shown to the driver every day.
Lost and damaged passes
Any pupil who has lost their pass can obtain a replacement from York Pullman on 01904 622992. The cost is £5 per pass and can be paid by credit/debit card over the phone.
The timetables for all the buses being operated are within this site. There is no change for the routes and times for September 2014, unless marked.

If you are not eligible for free home to school transport or are going into the sixth form, you can still purchase a spare seat and this process is managed by York Pullman on behalf of the City of York Council.
If you are interested in purchasing one of these spare seats, you can download the application by clicking on the relevant link below. We ask that you apply for a seat as soon as possible, to allow us to plan the routes and bus capacities. All passes will be posted out to your home address before the start of the Autumn Term.
You can now pay for travel in 8 installments and the standing order form is attached to the application form.
You should note that once you start to travel, there is no refund available part way through the school year.
