Pupils Eligible for Free Home to School Transport

City of York Council Catchment Area

The eligibility of free home to school transport is determined by the City of York Council according to their Policy. Queries regarding eligibility should be to the City of York Council in the first instance. Please see their website for more details.

York Pullman are responsible for the allocation of pupils to buses and the issue of passes

We aim to distribute new passes to current primary school of a pupil between May half term and the end the academic year.

North Yorkshire Council Catchment Area

The eligibility of free home to school transport is determined by North Yorkshire Council according to their Policy.  The Council are also responsible for the allocation of spaces, and the issue of passes are processed. Please see the council’s website for more details and contact them directly.

 Pupils who pay for Home to School Transport

City of York Concessionary Passes

York Pullman sell seats to pupils who are not eligible for free home to school transport on most routes. On all routes, you can purchase an annual pass, and on select routes you purchase a single return or weekly ticket direct from the driver, using either cash or by bank card – please see our individual timetables for further details.

Annual passes can be paid in full, or staged payments starting in September with seven further monthly payments.  These are usually made using a standing order when the pass is initially purchased.

Should transport not be required, this payment can be cancelled at no charge up to the first day of term, on the condition that the bus pass issued is returned to our office.

All passes are issued on the condition that passes can be withdrawn in the event of poor behaviour or failure to make payment.

Failure to cancel and return the pass could result in a payment fee as the seat will still be made available.

North Yorkshire Concessionary Passes

North Yorkshire Council are responsible for the selling and issue of passes in their catchment area.

By completing this form, you are giving York Pullman explicit consent to process personal details in order to provide your child with a bus pass.  We will not pass these personal details on to any other organisation or re-use them for any other purpose.  We will securely retain this information for accounting and auditing purposing only.  For further information read the Privacy Policy on our website.

Allergens

York Pullman does not accept any responsibility for allergens that may have been brought onto vehicles by any person.  Most of our services are open to anyone who pays a fare, so we are unable to control whether any or all known allergens including nuts, wheat or other substances may be present on schools services.
