Vehicle Parts Procurement & Workshop Administrator
York Pullman Bus Company Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Parts Procurement & Workshop Administrator for their principal maintenance facility based in York.
The role is full time (minimum) 40 regular hours per week [no shifts] working Monday to Friday 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs with the possibility of occasional additional Saturday hours.

Based in our modern, well equipped premises in Rufforth, York, duties will include all aspects of vehicle parts management and will include sourcing and distributing parts for our hardworking maintenance teams.
Main Duties of the role:
- Working in a fast-moving environment to ensure maximum vehicle availability at all times
- Monitoring of daily driver defect reports to ensure a continued availability of the right parts in stock
- Liaising with workshop staff to gain a full understanding of the parts requirements
- Sourcing and ordering parts and consumables from various UK suppliers for our fleet of coaches, buses and vans
- Stores management, including controlling current impressed stock and ensuring stores are kept well stocked, organised and tidy
- Building and creating excellent working relationships with suppliers to obtain the best prices and quality of service
- Issuing accurate order numbers and receiving parts orders from suppliers
- Ensuring parts returns are dealt with efficiently and that any old unit surcharge items are logged and returned promptly
- Assisting with general workshop administration tasks as required
- Working as part of a team and assisting those around them in achieving the various goals and tasks of the workshops

- Team player – willingness to work alongside a successful team
- Flexibility – able to adapt to a variety of tasks necessary in the day to day operations of a busy workshop environment
- Ability to work consistently and safely to the highest standards of Health & Safety
- Full car driving licence in order to drive company vans from time-to-time
Ideal, but not essential requirements;
- Previous experience of commercial vehicle parts sourcing and/or parts stores management would be an advantage
